Data Storage

The extension stores the following settings locally using Chrome’s built-in chrome.storage.sync API:

• Scroll speed preference
• Auto-scroll on/off setting
• Idle activation on/off setting
• Idle timeout duration
• List of screensaver URLs configured by the user
• Selected URL preference

This data is synced across your Chrome browsers via your Google account, using Chrome’s native sync mechanism. The extension developer has no access to this data.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

Remote Code

This extension does not load or execute any remote code. All scripts are bundled locally within the extension package.

Permissions

Permission	Why it’s needed
activeTab	To inject the auto-scroll script into the webpage you choose as a screensaver.
storage	To save your settings (speed, timeout, site list) across sessions.
tabs	To manage the screensaver tab (reuse existing tab, update title).
Host permissions (<all_urls>)	To allow the screensaver to run on any webpage you configure.
